Epitalon
Epitalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, CAS 307297-39-8) structurally related to the natural peptide epithalamin and first isolated from pineal gland extracts. In human somatic cell cultures it has been reported to upregulate telomerase activity via hTERT and to influence melatonin synthesis enzyme expression in pinealocyte models. It is used as a research tool in telomere biology and pineal-hypothalamic neuroendocrine signaling. Supplied lyophilized for in vitro research use only.
