PEG MGF
PEG MGF (pegylated mechano growth factor) is a PEGylated synthetic peptide derived from the E domain of the mechano-sensitive IGF-1 splice variant. PEGylation at a lysine residue reduces proteolytic degradation and renal clearance, extending pharmacokinetic half-life in biochemical assays relative to unmodified MGF. The E-domain peptide is studied for intracellular signaling pathway interactions in myoblast and satellite cell culture models, independent of IGF-1R-mediated IGF-1 activity.
