Snap-8
Snap-8 is a synthetic octapeptide (CAS 868844-74-0) and competitive inhibitor of the SNARE complex. It mimics the N-terminal sequence of SNAP-25, competing for SNARE assembly in neuronal cell cultures and attenuating the docking and fusion of acetylcholine-containing vesicles at the neuromuscular junction model. It is used to probe vesicle exocytosis mechanisms and SNARE protein pharmacology at the molecular level. For laboratory research use only.
